DUE DATE for Course Selection Forms & Contracts: Friday, February 24th.
It's time to start planning for the 2017-2018 school year! Students received their individual Course Offering Booklet on Wednesday, January 11th and met with their grade-level Academic Advisors to review the Course Selection & Registration process. We also held our Electives Fair and students circulated to different classroom presentations to learn more about their academic options.
Please review the Course Offering Catalogue with your children, paying particular attention to the pre-requisites for upper-division electives, Honors, & AP courses, which require special approval from teachers and a Course Commitment Contract. Viable elective courses vary from year to year, dependent upon sufficient student enrollment and availability of qualified teaching staff.
Students will have time during upcoming Office Hours to obtain teacher recommendations, though they may do so at any point. Grade level Academic Advisors will be meeting one-on-one with each student to review and approve their schedules. Don't hesitate to reach out to the grade-level Academic Advisor to confer about how to build the academic schedule that best suits your child's interests, talents, and college ambitions.
