INTERNATIONAL APPLICANT INFORMATION
Providence High School accepts international students who will reside with a documented relative or legal guardian. Upon acceptance into Providence High School, an I-20 can be issued through the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The I-20 is a multi-purpose document issued by a government approved, U.S. educational institution certifying that you have been admitted to a full-time study program and that you have demonstrated sufficient financial resources to stay in the U.S.
 
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS & FORMS
The following documents must be uploaded to the application.
  • Copy of Birth Certificate 
  • Copy of Baptismal or Dedication Certificate, if applicable.
  • Upload student photo, a 2" x 3” or 3” x 5” (72 PPI .JPEG).
  • Copy of current immunization record
 
The following completed forms must be returned to Providence High School by January 26, 2018.

REGISTRATION FEES
The registration fee is non-refundable.
Fees do not include the following:
  • Housing/boarding program (Providence High School does not recommend nor provide housing resources)
  • Athletic fees, busing, extracurricular activities, entertainment or meals with friends
  • Medical bills/insurance
  • Cell phones/calling cards
  • Clothing, personal expenses, etc. (Uniforms need to be purchased by student’s family)
  • Personal tutoring fees
  • Testing fee
 
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO I-20 PROCESSING
  • Completed Application form with paid $125 application fee
  • Three letters of recommendation from the student’s current school (English teacher, math teacher, principal or counselor)
  • Transcripts ( An academic interpretation from an accredited company and translated into English)
  • Interview (In person or via Skype)
 
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR I-20 PROCESSING
  • LA Archdiocese I-20 Application
  • I-20 $750 processing fee (non-refundable) or $300 transfer fee from another U.S. school (made out to “Department of Catholic Schools”)
  • Copy of current passport
  • A letter of financial responsibility or financial statement from your bank (with a minimum of $25,000 USD)
  • Notarized Temporary Guardianship Authorization (La Archdiocese form)
 
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS MUST BRING
  • Passport
  • I-20 stamped from US Immigration
  • ID of U.S. Guardian
  • Evidence of a current physical exam
  • Immunization record
  • Transcript of grades in a sealed envelope marked “Official Transcript”
  • Proof of Medical Insurance
