Providence High School

Board of Regents

To the Providence Family,

On behalf of the Providence High School Board of Regents, it is my privilege to welcome you to Providence High School.  As a Board, we are committed to working closely with our students, their parents, our staff, and our alumni to make Providence one of the best educational institutions in Southern California.

The Board of Regents works closely with our Head of School, Joe Sciuto, in providing the very best college preparatory education for our students, as well as providing comprehensive extra-curricular opportunities in visual and performing arts, athletics, and club activities. The goal of developing our students into productive citizens is best stated in the Board of Regents vision statement:

As people of Providence High School, we launch a well-rounded diverse community of scholars within a student centered, caring, safe environment which develops ethical and spiritual global citizens in partnership with our community, committed to stewardship and excellence

As we begin a new year, I am pleased to share with you some of the many accomplishments and developments at Providence High School.   The 2015-2016 school year marked the opening of Providence High School’s new state-of-the-art Cinema Arts Center for our outstanding Cinema Arts Focus Program (formerly called the Media Focus Program).    The 2015-2016 school year also  blessed Providence High School with a newly renovated Weight Room and Athletic Training Center fully equipped with pro-style training weights and equipment.

As enrollment continues to increase, we are able to offer multiple additions to our college preparatory curriculum and support services.  For example, Providence High School students benefit from our Academic Support Center and the NAVIANCE Web-based program. Our state-of-the art Science Center continues to provide our students the quality education they deserve. The school continues to be recognized for its academic excellence, as a member of the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS). CAIS provides for and promotes professional growth for the Administration, Faculty, and Board of Regents.

"YOU BELONG HERE.," our school motto, applies to everyone in our Providence High School family.

This message is not only applicable to our current students and our alumni, but to our future students that live in the local communities.  On behalf of the Board, I urge all former students to stay involved with our school, and support our mission to provide a quality college preparatory education developing each student to his/her fullest potential, based on strong moral values, a sense of service, and a love of learning.

I invite you to get to know us. Please feel free to visit our beautiful campus and meet some of the people that make Providence High School such a great learning community.

Yours in Providence,
