The Associated Student Body (ASB) plays an integral part in the students’ high school experience. Providing an opportunity to develop the student’s social abilities through school-centered activities, ASB advances school spirit and identity, not only in extracurricular events, but also within the Burbank Community.
Besides spirit-building, ASB goals include community-building and promoting school pride. ASB also assists the Advancement Department, Admissions Department and Administration by working at events such as Open House, Back to School Night, Providence in Action, and Freshman Orientation. Service to the school community is the underlying foundation and motivation for these activities.

ASB consists of 11 executive ASB Officers and 12 Class Officers. The Constitution of the Associated Student Body defines the roles and responsibilities of the officers. Positions within the Executive Council include the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Sergeant at Arms, and Historian as well as the Special Interest Commissioners which include the Publicity, Sports, Visual/Performing Arts, Religious Commissioners and the Burbank Youth Board Representative.
Every academic class has three officers: the Class President, Vice-President, and Secretary-Treasurer. Acting as a student leader aids the officers in the development of leadership roles and abilities, organizational skills and project management.
The ASB functions under the direction and guidance of the ASB Moderator, Ms. Linda Wyatt. As a group, ASB goes to leadership camp twice during the year during August and January. During camp, the Student Council Advisor works with the ASB President and Vice-President to plan and present workshop sessions which include goal-setting, leadership skills, calendar planning and learning to bond together as a team.
The ASB President, Vice-President, and Treasurer attend a three day state-wide leadership camp run by the California Association of Directors of Activities (CADA) in the summer preceding the year they hold office.

The following are descriptions of Spirit Events that ASB organizes:
Theme Day - Usually held in the third week of October, Theme Day is the premier event of the year. Theme Day is a school-wide event in which classes compete for spirit points through themed performances. Points can be earned in six categories: Banner, Chant, Performance, Costumes, Props and Cheer. The themes this year are Breakfast with the Freshman, Superhero Sophomores, Holly Jolly Juniors, and Senior's Toy Chest.
Spirit Week/Pioneer Day - Spirit Week is made up of four spirit wear days and end with Pioneer Day. Pioneer Day is an Olympic-type event in which classes compete in various athletic events at Johnny Carson Park. It is held in April or May.
School Dances - There are five school-sponsored dances held throughout the year. The Back to School Dance, Monte Carlo Night, Winter Formal, the Pioneer Farewell Dance and the Senior Prom.
Christmas Assembly - Before departing for Christmas vacation, the entire school comes together to celebrate the season. Various forms of entertainment send the students off in a jolly way.
Faculty/Staff Appreciation - The week before the academic year begins, ASB welcomes back the staff by providing a breakfast. During the year each faculty and staff member receives a birthday card and small gift from the officers. They also receive holiday gift bags that include treats or other small gifts.

Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
-Romans 12:4-5
