To the Providence Family,

 

As we embark on a new school year, I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the Board of Regents to introduce our new Head of School, Joe Sciuto. He has an extensive background in private school education having most recently held the position of Principal of the Upper School at The Buckley School for the last seven years after having taught and coached at Campbell Hall and Harvard-Westlake. His diverse background as a teacher, coach and administrator has prepared him well to take the leadership role at Providence and move the high school forward. I would be remiss in not mentioning the outstanding job Mr. Michael Collins did as our Interim Head of School. We owe him a great debt of gratitude for his leadership and invaluable expertise in guiding the school through a difficult time of transition.

 

We are in exciting times at Providence High School. As enrollment increases, we are able to offer additions to our college prep curriculum and additional support services. With student success as the main goal, students will now benefit from a creation of a new Academic Support Center and the new NAVIANCE web-based college counseling program, which will be used by students, parents and counselors.

 

"YOU BELONG HERE." our school tagline, applies to everyone in our Providence High School family. Not only does it apply to the message we are getting out to our future students in the local communities, but to our current students, and our alumni. On behalf of the Board I urge all former students to stay involved with our school and support our mission to provide a quality college prep education and to develop each student to his/her fullest potential, with strong moral values, a sense of service and a love of learning.
