Principal's Message
![]() With summer over and our 2007-2008 academic year in full swing, I’d like to welcome our returning and new students and families! We are already off to a great start and much of that can be attributed to all the hard work over the summer.
In addition to the usual cleaning and painting, we broke ground on a new math classroom, and are in the midst of completing the construction. The attic storage space was cleared out and old files were sorted through to make room for new files to be stored. Most impressively, the floor in the auditorium was completely refinished – no more evidence that it used to be a gym!
As usual, our IT department worked in overdrive over the summer, this year updating our technology with Microsoft Office 2007. In addition, summer school was in session for a month so there was plenty going on.
Our capital campaign to raise funds for a new science building and upgrades to current classrooms is well underway. For more informaiton about our capital campaign, please click here.
I am thrilled to announce that our Providence Fund is off to a great start this year! The Providence Fund is our annual drive to raise money for scholarships for our students. Thank you to anyone who has already sent in their contributions. Your contributions truly make a difference in making a Providence education a reality for many of our students.
As the holiday season quickly approaches, I am reminded, once again, of all that I have to be thankful for and I would like to take this opportunity to thank our faculty, staff, students, and parents for all that you do to ensure that our great school continues to thrive day in and day out.
Yours in Providence, ![]() Mrs. Michele Schulte Principal |
