Message from the Director of Advancement

Dear Friends of Providence,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Providence High School! This year looks to be one filled with excitement and dedication to beginning Providence High School's next 50 years in educational service to the community. It is a wonderful feeling to be part of such a special environment that has been at the forefront of Catholic education for more than half a century! Providence High School's alumni and current students are the faith-filled leaders of today and tomorrow and we are very enthusiastic about sharing our commitment to academic, spiritual, and co-curricular excellence with you as we begin this new school year together.

There have been a few changes over the past few months at Providence. It is our goal as the Advancement Department to advance the mission and vision of Providence High School through various events, publications, fundraising endeavors, and marketing strategies. While unknown to many, the cost of educating each of our students far exceeds the collected tuition and fees each year and it is the priority of the Advancement Department to bridge that gap to ensure that each of our students receives the quality education they so richly deserve. We attempt to do this by applying for grants, soliciting gifts and donations, and organizing fundraising activities. For Providence High School to reach these goals, we need the assistance of all PHS community members.

During the school year, you will be asked support our cause by participating in our annual fundraisers. Please accept our invitation to assist Providence High School through time, talent and treasure. You, as parents, alumni and community members are the driving force behind the success of Providence. Your choice to allow us to educate your children is not something we take lightly and we will do everything in our power to make this educational experience the best possible for all of our students.

I invite you to take a few moments to review the rest of our website and please make it a point to participate whenever you can. The students at PHS are our future, but your help will make the present that much more rewarding for everyone involved. If you have any questions regarding fundraisers, volunteer opportunities, or to make a much needed contribution, please don't hesitate to call the Office of Advancement at Ext. 409 and we will be happy to assist you in any way possible.

Thank you again for making Providence High School your choice for your child's education!

Sincerely in Providence,

Rob Ickes
