Mr. Anthony Martinez was born and raised in New York. He earned his BS in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco. Upon graduation, he went back to New York and began a career in the manufacturing field. After moving to California in the mid 90’s, he got married and decided to pursue his passion for teaching. He earned his Teaching Credential from Cal State Fullerton. He taught for seven years at Whittier High School, where he was both a Department Chair and Head of the school’s Computer/Business Partnership Academy. He left Whittier High to be closer to home and became a junior high teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes in Tujunga. After being given the opportunity to work several summers as a Math teacher at Providence High School, he was brought on as a full-time Math teacher in 2013. In 2015, moved in the counseling department as an Academic Counselor. For the 2021 school year, he has decided to move back into the classroom as a full-time Math-teacher, his true passion.
Mr. Martinez married in 1999, and he and his wife, Linda, have two children: Marcelino, who is enrolled in his senior year at Oregon State University, and Gabriella, who is currently a senior at Providence. Mr. Martinez and his family are avid sports fans, who like to both watch and participate.
