From the Admissions Office

Please Note: While virtual admissions tours and events will begin in September, if you would like to learn more about Providence or have questions now, we are happy to schedule a 1:1 virtual meeting for you with one of our Admissions office staff. Please send an email the Admissions Office and someone will reach out to you to schedule a meeting.

Welcome to the Providence High School website! We are so happy that you are interested in Providence, and we look forward to getting to know you.

It seems that every school talks about community, sometimes to the point that the word may begin to lose meaning. I know that is how I was beginning to feel after many years in independent schools. Believe me when I say—Providence is different.

When we talk about a warm, welcoming, intellectually stimulating, values-driven community of engaged students and dedicated faculty and staff, we stand by that. As an independent, Catholic high school guided by our mission and the legacy of our founders the Sisters of Providence, we have long been committed to cultivating this community. Students, as well as faculty and staff, are drawn to Providence because they know that they are joining a community where students are both challenged and supported so that they may grow academically, personally, spiritually, and physically. This can easily be observed and experienced in the classroom, on the playing field or court, at performances and visual arts exhibits, and even at lunch on the quad. At Providence, community is real, and a PHS education doesn’t just help prepare students for college and careers, but for life.

We look forward to helping you get to know our community so that you can witness first-hand what makes Providence different. We are looking for students who are academically capable, active and involved, kind and compassionate, and open to learning. We also know that you are looking for the right educational fit for your child. Our admissions process is designed with this shared goal in mind.

We understand that you are entering the high school admissions season at a time of great uncertainty. Please rest assured that we remain committed to offering prospective families a thorough, helpful, and personal admissions process. I encourage you to use this website to explore the academic, athletic, artistic, and spiritual opportunities at Providence. In late August, you will be able to register for events and get to know our students, teachers, faculty, and current parents.

In the meantime, if you have questions, please reach out via email. We can write you back, give you call, or arrange a time for a one-on-one video chat to learn more about Providence. Let us know how you would like us to communicate with you. We look forward to getting to know you.
