Pioneers in Training

Important: This is a mandatory program for all incoming freshmen and transfer students.

Pioneers in Training (P.I.T.) is a two-week experience during which students will be placed in smaller groups called P.I.T Crews with 8-10 students to each faculty facilitator. Through a carefully designed curriculum that combines both live, online class meetings and offline independent work, students will learn about the digital systems used at Providence, the rhythm of our daily schedule, and how to access the resources they will need for success. Perhaps even more important is an opportunity to build valuable relationships through fun, engaging small group activities.

For more information or questions about Pioneers in Training program, please contact our Director of Summer Programs.

Focus Program Orientation Workshops

Providence Focus Programs are excited to invite the incoming 9th grade Focus Program students to orientation workshop! This experience is a preview of the skills and content that all incoming freshman Focus Program students will cover in their foundational year of their Focus Programs. In addition, the students will have the opportunity to meet other students in their respective Focus Program, form new friendships, orient themselves to the campus, and meet many of the school’s faculty and staff.

More information will be communicated to participating families in mid-July via email.
