Admissions
From the Admissions Office
Welcome to the Providence High School website! We are so happy that you are interested in Providence, and we look forward to getting to know you.
At Providence High School, we have long been committed to community and living and learning with purpose. As we carry on the legacy of our foundresses, the Sisters of Providence, we expect our students to make an impact. This commitment to each other and to those around us is part of what makes Providence different.
When we talk about a warm, welcoming, intellectually stimulating, values-driven community of engaged students and dedicated faculty and staff, we stand by that. Our students are drawn to Providence because they know that they are joining a community where they are both challenged and supported so that they may grow academically, personally, spiritually, and physically, making us better and becoming their best selves. Providence Pioneers are academically capable, active and involved, kind and compassionate, open to learning, and motivated to make an impact. They learn with purpose and use their skills and talents to make our school and the world a better place for all. This can easily be observed and experienced in the classroom, on the playing field or court, at performances and visual arts exhibits, and even at lunch on the quad. At Providence, community is real, and a PHS education doesn’t just help prepare students for college and careers, but for a life of meaning and positive impact.
The high school admissions process is an exciting time for your child and for your family, but we understand that it can also be somewhat stressful. Please know that we are committed to offering prospective families a thorough, helpful, and personal process. We are sincerely grateful for your engagement and for the opportunity to get to know your family.
I encourage you to use this website to explore the academic, athletic, artistic, and spiritual opportunities at Providence. In late August, you will be able to register for events and get to know our students, teachers, faculty, and current parents. In the meantime, if you have questions, please reach out via email. We can write you back, give you call, or arrange a time for a one-on-one video chat to learn more about Providence. Let us know how you would like us to communicate with you. We look forward to helping you get to know our community so that you can witness first-hand what makes Providence different.
