Admissions Associate

B.A. Child Development, CSUN

Mrs. Sossy Tavidian was born in Beirut, Lebanon.  She was 13 years old when she moved to Los Angeles in 1978, due to the Civil War and unrest in her country.  She completed her 8th grade at Woodrow Wilson Jr. High and then graduated from Glendale High School in 1983. She studied Child Development at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). 1988 was a great year for her because she not only graduated from CSUN, but she also married the love of her life, Mher. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Pateel (1990) & Sareen (1992).  Her daughter, Pateel, attended Providence High School and graduated in 2007.

Mrs. Tavidian went into the field of teaching right after she graduated from CSUN.  She taught at Armenian Sisters Academy, Montrose, from 1990 – 1993, teaching preschool and 1st grade levels, then taught at Rose & Alex Pilibos Armenian School, in Hollywood, 1st, 3rd & 4th grades from 1994-2009. Her passion has always been to teach or to be in an environment surrounded by kids.  When her daughter Sareen graduated from high school, Mrs. Tavidian decided to take a year off from teaching.  After staying home for seven years, Mrs. Tavidian decided to go back into the workforce.  She was blessed to become a part of the Providence High School family.  She had finally found her niche. It’s been over three years, and Mrs. Tavidian can’t imagine working anywhere else other than Providence High School.

Fun fact about Mrs. Tavidian; she has an identical twin sister!  So don’t be shocked if you happen to walk by the front office one day and see double!
