Athletic Guidelines

Athletic Plan during COVID-19


  • Our proposed workouts for the Fall and Spring will be optional and free for families
  • All sports will have sign-up procedures to stay consistent with how tryouts are held and teams are formed.
  • New and retuning athletes must get a physical and clearance information submitted in order to tryout and participate
  • A waiver to be signed by families notifying them of their understanding of the parameters of their participation
  • Daily Forms doc questionnaire to be developed to monitor symptoms
    • To be completed prior to arrival and participation
    • All Coaches and student athletes are expected to comply

One Way Entrances & Exits
For Pre-Work out screenings, please be mindful of designated entrances and exits.

  • The entrance is located in the lobby where Pre-Workout screenings will set up at tables for temperature checks, sanitizing, and QR codes for the survey.
    • Athletic trainer and Athletic staff will be available onsite. 
  • Exits are located at far door nearest the parking garage next to the gym that leads to campus cross/walk.
Please note: It is important to arrive at least 15 minutes early for screenings and temperature checks, details provided by coaches in the timeline sent to participating athletic families. Please plan accordingly.

Saftey Practices

  • Every athlete is expected to bring own water bottle, towel, and other personal necessities
  • Athletes should arrive dressed ready for activities
  • No unnecessary physical contact is permitted, including high-fives and handshakes
  • Face masks/coverings are required upon arrival and exit 
  • Coaches and Athletes are encouraged to use face masks during training
    • Socially distanced rest areas are available after high exertion training 
  • Coaches are to facilitate workouts with mask and any other protective gear they desire. 
  • 3 sanitizing stations available throughout the Student Activity Center
    • 1 in the lobby
    • 1 on gymnasium floor near the score table
    • 1 by designated exit
  • General restrooms are open and available for use
    • Locker rooms are only to be used for the additional restrooms and hand washing stations
  • Frequently used equipment to be sanitized frequently 

In the event of potential or confirmed exposure, the protocol is as follows:

  • Upon any display of symptoms, athletes are to communicate experience and are asked to stay home
  • Upon any group exposure, the group will be immediately set into quarantine for a minimum of 14 days or longer
    • Once a group is set into quarantine, each participant including coaches must quarantine for 2 weeks, get tested and receive doctor note to resume activities
