Athletic Updates: March Monthly Recap

Softball

Softball continues their success. Ranked number 1 in Division 5 with a 13-2 overall record and 7-0 record in league. Olyvia Rutter is leading the team with a .511 batting average, while Delailah Lopez is leading the team with in on base percentage (.604). Breanna Pelaez is having another hot year with 20 stolen bases on the season. The team looks to continue their season over the next month with games again South Pasadena, Chadwick, Louisville, and Flintridge Prep.

Baseball

Baseball is in a rebuilding year with a 2-11 overall start and 2-4 in league play. The boys look for continued growth and experience with upcoming games against LaSalle, Chadwick, and Rio Hondo Prep. Eric Chuchvara continues to lead the team in batting average (.303) and on base percentage (.439). Other highlights include Adrian Contreras with 6 stolen bases, and 29 strikes outs. The team still has the second half of the season to make a strong push towards making the playoffs.

Boys Volleyball

The boys’ volleyball team is now 3-16 overall and 0-3 in league play. They look to improve on their season in the next few games against St. Monica Academy, Pasadena Polytechnic, and Flintridge Prep.


Cheer

In the Sharp International State Championships, the competitive cheer team placed 1st while also receiving the Judge Trophy.
