Over the last several weeks, our consultant from RG175 solicited and reviewed applications from approximately 30 candidates across the country and in the international school market. The search committee reviewed materials from the top 8 candidates and selected 6 for semi-finalist interviews.
The Head of School, Scott McLarty, and our AHoS Search Committee spent an hour conducting structured interviews with each semi-finalist over the last two weeks. After reviewing feedback from our consultant and the search committee, the Head of School has elected to invite 3 finalists for campus visits.
As part of the finalist interview, the candidates will visit Providence High School on select days during the first two weeks of December. We will share information about the candidate ahead of each finalist’s visit via email to families, students, and faculty/staff. Candidates will spend one full day on campus meeting with various community members, including students, Parent Board and Mothers Guild representatives, the Leadership Team, and our Board of Regents’ Executive Council. The visit will also include an open forum for faculty and staff. All community members who meet with the finalists will be provided a feedback tool to offer perspective to the Head of School for review.
We anticipate that we will be extending an offer and naming our next Assistant Head of School before we leave for Christmas Break.
