Spring Athletics Updates

Girls Softball

The girls’ softball team is having another great year. Finishing the regular season 23-3 with a 12-0 record in league play. Showing poise and confidence, the team has advanced through the first two rounds of CIF post season. Leaders this season include Breanna Pelaez with a .568 batting average and 40 stolen bases. Delailah Lopez with a .670 on base percentage. Grace Workman leads the team with 2 home runs and has been a great closer in the circle with 115 strikeouts.  Olivia Rutter the team with a 1.38 ERA and 13 wins and 101 strikeouts. Depth, and experience gives this team high hopes to continue a deep run into the CIF playoffs.

Boys Baseball

Boys’ baseball ended with a record of 5-6 overall going 4-8 in league. It was a rebuilding year for the team that has a very bright future.

Boys Volleyball

The boys’ volleyball team went 7-20 overall with a 1-7 record in league play. They ended the season with a 3-game winning streak, showing some vast improvement. Boys’ volleyball has some depth coming in next year from the JV team and look to keep building next year.

Track and Field

This year the track team continues to show improvement. The 4 x 100m sprint team tied the school record of 45.04 while advancing to CIF Prelims. Freshman Marc Banta won a league title in the 100m sprints, to advance to CIF prelims. The team also had several distance runners also advanced to CIF Prelims.

 Swim and Dive

A remarkable year for a program that is continuing to grow and improve. The two standouts this season, showed up to finish the job at CIF Finals. Ryan Warm finished the season with a 2nd place finish at CIF Finals in the 100 free, and a time of 47.42. He also earned a bronze in the 50m free championship heat with a time of 21.53. Jude Walsh also capped off the year with some brilliant swimming. Placing 5th in the 100 fly at CIF Finals with a time of 55.12.
