Ways to Give
Inspired by the love of Christ, Mother Emilie Gamelin, foundress of the Sisters of Providence, felt called to serve those in need and people living near her were so grateful for her help that they referred to her work as "Providence." Her legacy lives on at Providence High School.
When you give to Providence High School, you help support the mission of the Sisters of Providence. Every gift counts, and is truly appreciated by the wonderful students who are benefiting from stimulating and diverse college-preparatory education. Gifts in Memory of Sister Lucille Dean, SP |

Tribute gifts to honor the legacy of former Providence High School Principal and Providence leader, Sister Lucille Dean, SP, who passed away February 18, 2022. |
50 Year Club Scholarship Fund |
Established in 2009 by the Class of ’59 to encourage alumni to make gifts in celebration of their 50th class reunion. Funds provide tuition assistance to students in need. |
Class of ’75 Scholarship Fund |
Established by the Class of ’75 to assist a student interested in journalism, yearbook or Concept activities, and who is involved in our school community. |
Eleonora Greenhill Scholarship Fund |
Established by Mrs. Greenhill’s daughters to provide tuition assistance to students in need. |
Jainee Abrera KAIROS Scholarship Fund |
Funds provide financial assistance to current seniors in need, so they may attend the KAIROS retreat. |
Sister Alexis Melancon, S.P. Scholarship Fund |
Established by the Class of ’69 to provide tuition assistance to currently enrolled students who excel in a co-curricular activity and demonstrate the Providence High School Values. |
Sister Renate Hayum, S.P. Endowed Scholarship Fund |
Established in memory of Sister Renate to provide tuition assistance to a sophomore or junior student who demonstrates the Providence High School Values and has an interest in pursuing a profession in Information Technology and/or Library Science. |
Gayle Ann and James Anton Moschenross Memorial Scholarship Fund |
An endowed fund to help current students with additional non-tuition expenses while at Providence High School. |
Jirapaun Scholarship Fund |
Established in memory of teacher Joe Ngamsanga’s mother, funds provide financial assistance to a current senior in need. |
Our Lady of Lourdes Scholarship Fund |
Established in 2009 by PHS employees who are parishioners of Our Lady of Lourdes Church - Tujunga, to provide tuition assistance to an entering freshman who attended Our Lady of Lourdes School - Tujunga. |
Tom Durkin Scholarship Fund |
Established in memory of media teacher Tom Durkin, to provide financial assistance for focus program fees to currently enrolled students in the Cinema Arts Focus Program. |
Cari & Paul Kaminski Scholarship Fund |
Established by Cari and Paul Kaminski to provide tuition assistance to a currently enrolled student who epitomizes the school's tagline "You Belong Here." An academically high-achieving student with good citizenship who is actively involved in many co-curricular activities, and who embodies the spirit of Providence High School. |

Planned Giving
Making a planned gift is a wonderful way to show your support and appreciation for Providence High School and its mission while accommodating your own personal, financial, estate-planning, and philanthropic goals. With smart planning, you may actually increase the size of your estate and/or reduce the tax burden on your heirs. Just as important, you will know that you have made a meaningful contribution to Providence High School.
Endowment Funds
Endowed gifts are a wonderful way to leave a permanent legacy at the School. Your endowed gift is invested and a portion of the generated annual return on investment is used to support the current priorities. The minimum amount for an endowment is $40,000.
Matching Gifts
Check with your employer to see if they have a matching gift program. This is a great way to increase your gift.

Email acknowledgements will be sent for all gifts and donations within 10 business days upon receipt.

Acknowledgements for gifts $250 and larger will be sent via email and by regular mail within 10 business days upon receipt.

Any donor may request a printed acknowledgement or summary at any time.

All donors will receive an annual statement and summary of gifts in January.
