Dress Code Policy
Updated: 7/25/2025
All attire must be in good condition, clean, modest, presentable, non-revealing, and without any alterations or modifications such as distressing, cutting, or tearing.
Mass and Special Occasion Dress
On days we celebrate Mass together, or to honor other special occasions, the dress code on these days is as follows:
- Allowable PHS branded top with a collar. No T-shirts.
- Pants, skirts, skorts, and jeans in permitted styles and colors as listed in the Dress Code Policy. Shorts are not allowed on Mass and special occasion dress days.
- No hats or headwear on Mass and special occasion dress days. Exceptions will be made for medical and religious reasons.
Free Dress
Free Dress days allow students the opportunity to wear attire outside the dress code while maintaining appropriate school standards. Scheduled Free Dress days will be communicated to students in advance.
- All tops must have sleeves with no plunging neck lines or off the shoulder.
- All bottoms must adhere to regular dress code guidelines at the discretion of administration.
- No offensive or disrespectful attire, at the discretion of administration, may be worn.
- All shoes, socks, hat policies listed above remain in effect.
- All attire must be in good condition, clean, modest, presentable, non-revealing, and without holes and shreds.
Note on New Branded Uniform Apparel
Starting with the 2025–2026 school year, all previous PHS-branded polos have been officially retired. Students are expected to wear the updated, newly branded polos as part of their uniform.
Non-Compliance & Billing of Families
Students who choose to violate any provisions of the dress code will be issued referrals and sent to the Campus Store to purchase appropriate uniform items. Students who do not have immediate funds to purchase uniform attire will be given the uniform attire and billed.
Administrative interpretation of this policy is considered final.
The Providence High School reserves the right to adjust this policy.
