What is the Community Impact Program?
Community Impact program creates opportunities and experiences beyond what is expected of students in typical service hour programs. It moves us to look at the power of our impact and is rooted in the legacy of the Sisters of Providence.
What will students do?

What does the Community Impact Program look like?
The Community Impact Program activities, content, and experiences are integrated into class retreats, student coursework and the Senior Capstone project, infusing our commitment to service throughout academics and Campus Ministry. Each year's themes and guiding questions are built over four years, fostering student growth personally and as a community.
Supplemental Service Hours
Providence High School student still earn supplemental service hours by volunteering in the community and having a positive impact. The criteria for these supplemental hours must align with the Community Impact themes for each grade-level. Students will choose and reflect on their impact and service experiences through the lens of these themes.

Community Impact Initiatives
Senior Capstone Project
As part of senior year in their Community Impact program, students embark on a "choose your own adventure" course with the Senior Capstone Project. The UC-approved course provides students with an opportunity to take ownership of designing and executing their final learning experience at Providence.
Community Impact activities, content, and experiences are intentionally integrated into the 12th grade course work infusing our commitment to service throughout academics.
Day of Impact
All members of the community will participate in the Day of Impact each spring semester, which includes a schoolwide day of service, reflection, collaboration, and advocacy. Each class will have a unique experience that culminates their impact work for the year.
