Parent Service Hours

Parent volunteers are an essential part of the Providence Community. Volunteers are needed throughout the year for many events, including admissions and academic events, athletics, and administrative tasks.

COVID-19 Update

Normally, each family is required to fulfill 25 service hours by February 15 of each academic year. Considering our remote plan for the Fall, we are modifying requirements in the following ways. For the 2020-2021 school year, we are reducing the required number of hours so that each family will only need to fulfill 10 hours. We are also extending the deadline by one month to March 15.

The typical activities and donations to earn service hours may not be available. However, new ways for parents to support and engage are presenting themselves. Therefore, we are developing a full list of ways that parents can earn their 10 hours of service. That list will be shared in the coming weeks. We also know that some families have already fulfilled a portion or all of their hours for next year. Any hours that exceed the required 10 hours will be rolled over to the following academic year, if applicable.

Although your participation in your child’s clubs and organizations is essential, this participation cannot be used to fulfill your Parent Service Hours Program.

For the 2020-2021 school year, Parent Service Hours are due by Monday, March 15, 2021. Families who are unable to fulfill their obligation by that date will be assessed a charge of $20.00 for each hour less than the 10 required hours for a maximum of $200.00.
