Mr. Raul Borja emigrated from the Philippines as a child and settled with his family in Southern California. He graduated from Covina High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business-Economics and English from UCLA in 1999. In 2006, he also earned a Master of Arts in English Literature from Claremont Graduate University.
Mr. Borja joined the Providence High School family in June 2014 after serving three years as accountant for Providence Health & Services – Southern California foundations. He has an extensive professional background in the not-for-profit industry with prior stints at “I Have a Dream” Foundation – Los Angeles and UCLA Fund. While working for the accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche, Mr. Borja served several not-for-profit clients, including The Salvation Army, Southwestern Law School, and Fuller Theological Seminary.
In his spare time, Mr. Borja enjoys running and currently serves as a marathon coach for Providence High School's Students Run LA team. He also likes to hike and eat all the great food available in Los Angeles. Mr. Borja has a strong love of films, literature and music and enjoys attending concerts. He lives in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles.
