Christian Service Coordinator

Janet Fontaine’s passion for Christian service began at a very early age singing with her sister at a local convalescent home in San Pablo, Ca. and taking food at Thanksgiving time to homeless shelters in San Francisco. She continued this passion for serving in the Ice Capades going to hospitals and visiting with children’s wards at Christmas time. She has been active in the AIDS walk and RELAY FOR LIFE for the past 15 years. Janet has an extensive background working with children and acting on the stage, She taught ice skating at the age of 19 and had a range of students from beginners to seasoned competitive skaters with Olympic dreams. Janet was the middle school dance teacher/choreographer at the Wesley School for six years as well as assisting in directing the 7th-grade drama for five years. She is a drama teacher with the Discovery Onstage Summer Performing Arts Camp. Janet has a tremendous passion to share her joy, love, and enthusiasm for serving, especially the poor and the vulnerable.

Janet was the former PHS Parent Board President and a proud member of the PHS Mother’s Guild. One of her favorite joys is going to the movies with her son, William, who graduated from PHS in 2018 and was part of the Cinema Arts Focus Program.
