Ms. Michelle Laforce is a teacher of Mission of Jesus and Mission of the Church in the Religious Studies department. Ms. Laforce was born and raised in southern California and is proud to be a product of Catholic education. Having graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School, Tujunga, Bellarmine Jefferson High School, and Mount Saint Mary’s University. 

Ms. Laforce is an active member of her parish community. Ms. Laforce received her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology with a minor in Religious Studies from California State University, Northridge, and her Master of Arts degree from Mount Saint Mary’s University, Los Angeles with an emphasis on Comic Book Movies and the Spirituality of the Millennial Generation. 

Following God’s plan and beginning her vocation in education, Ms. Laforce taught Social Studies, Religion, and English at Our Lady of Peace, in North Hills for fifteen amazing years. Having the philosophy of being a life-long learner as an elementary school educator, she wore many hats, which included serving as Assistant Principal and head coach of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles' Academic Junior High Decathlon.

Ms. Laforce also received an Advanced Certificate in Media Literacy from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and the Daughters of Saint Paul and is currently completing the final year of the Catholic Bible Institute's three-year program on scripture sponsored by Loyola Marymount University and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

 In addition to teaching Ms. Laforce is the proud moderator of Providence High School’s United States Academic Decathlon team. Ms. Laforce is an avid baseball and softball fan. She is happy to be at Providence and as a lifelong learner hopes to continue to be amazed by her students.
