Mr. Josue Pacheco was born in Petén, Guatemala in 1987, but grew up in the Los Angeles and North Hollywood area. When Mr. Pacheco moved from Los Angeles to the San Fernando Valley, he attended Walter Reed Middle School from 6th to 8th grade. He later attended North Hollywood High School and graduated in 2005. While in North Hollywood High School, Mr. Pacheco was part of the ABLE Academy; a high school academy that is geared towards preparing high school students to become effective and successful educators.
From a young age, Mr. Pacheco knew that teaching would be his vocation. Upon graduating in 2005 from North Hollywood High School, Mr. Pacheco attended California State University Northridge while working in customer service. He graduated from CSUN in 2010 and took a year off from school to pursue other opportunities. In 2018 Mr. Pacheco earned a Master's degree in Urban Education with a concentration in Digital Learning. Mr. Pacheco also holds a State of California Single Subject Credential in Spanish. Mr. Pacheco joined the Providence High School Community in 2015 as a Spanish instructor. As a foreign language teacher, Mr. Pacheco's main objectives are to encourage and motivate students to become efficient listeners and communicators in the Spanish language, and to provide students with the necessary skills and tools to become critical thinkers, self-directed, self-monitored, and responsible individuals.
