Mr. Ernest Siy is the school's Dean of Students. As part of the administrative team, his main responsibility is to facilitate the character development of the entire student body. Mr. Siy has been in Catholic education for 17 years and at Providence High School since 2014. He is a product of Catholic schools, graduating from Paraclete High School in Lancaster and receiving his Masters degree from Loyola Marymount University.
Mr. Siy has served as a dean of students, athletic director, social studies teacher, and boys/girls basketball coach in a career that has included stops at Paraclete, St. Genevieve, Holy Family, and Providence High School. Mr. Siy has been recognized as a "CIF-Champion for Character" and is a strong advocate of Providence High School's Values of COMPASSION, DIGNITY, JUSTICE, EXCELLENCE, and INTEGRITY. He expects all students to practice these values as they progress through their high school years and beyond.
Mr. Siy has been married to his wife Sherry for over 20 years. They have two kids: Kobe '18, a current broadcast journalism student at CSUN, and Nikki '22. The family resides in the Santa Clarita Valley. Together, they enjoy watching March Madness.
