Mrs. Andrea Rasmussen brings over a decade’s worth of high school counseling experience from both private and public schools. She serves as an academic counselor for students in grades 9, 10, & 11 as well as the main liaison for our new part-time Learning Specialist. Mrs. Rasmussen works with students with documented learning differences as part of her overall caseload and will work closely with Mrs. Caren Gitlin to support those students with individual needs.
Every year, Mrs. Rasmussen buckles up for the rollercoaster ride of the school year with just as much excitement as the year before. There’s no doubt her personal college experience is what led her to be a high school counselor. Not only did she love her time at Washington State, but she finds that the impact of her college experience grows deeper and more precious with each year. In turn, one of her goals is to personalize the right post-secondary pathway for her caseload of students at Providence.
Outside of work, Mrs. Rasmussen enjoys spending time with her family, walking her pandemic-rescued dog, reading, and watching 80’s movies. In addition, you guessed it, she supports her Cougars when she can by waving Ol’ Crimson on ESPN’s College GameDay.
