Pioneers in Training

Important: This is a mandatory program for all incoming freshmen and transfer students. Learn more using the button below.

Pioneers in Training (PIT) is a two-week experience during which students will be placed in smaller groups called PIT Crews with 8-10 students to each faculty facilitator. Through a carefully designed curriculum that combines both live, online class meetings and offline independent work, students will learn about the digital systems used at Providence, the rhythm of our daily schedule, and how to access the resources they will need for success. Perhaps even more important is an opportunity to build valuable relationships through fun, engaging small group activities.

For more information on PIT Crew, please contact our Director of Summer Programs.
