S.T.E.M. Camp

S.T.E.M. or Science Technology Engineering and Math Camp is a four week camp aimed at introducing rising 6th to 9th grade students to the world of applied science. The theme for this year’s S.T.E.M. camp is going to be engineering and robotics. The focus will be on defining problems and creating solutions. The four-week course will begin with what it means to be an engineer. During this section, students will learn about the many different types of engineers and fields in the profession. This lesson will provide many hands on projects revolving around infrastructure and real world issues like designing water filtration systems, solar power systems, and more. The next section of the camp will revolve around programming. Students will begin with programing their very own animations and games. Next, the students will graduate onto robotics. Students will start with simple analog programing and move on to coding. The camp will include related field trips in order to provide a full S.T.E.M. experience.

Please Note: Providence High School's S.T.E.M. camp will not have class on July 4 to observe Independence Day. Class will resume on Friday, July 5.
