Algebra I | 4-Week Introduction Course
Non Credit. Intro To High School Algebra is for rising 9th graders who need some additional Math skills preparation prior to beginning Algebra 1 in the fall. Students will take a variety of diagnostic exams and then begin work on the skill sets that need attention. The goal is to provide the student with the subject skills necessary to succeed in Algebra 1 this Fall.

Introduction to Geometry | 4-Week Introduction Course
Non-Credit. Intro to High School Geometry is for those students taking Geometry in the fall who would like to get a head start on the skills and knowledge required for successful mastery of High School Geometry. This course is especially recommended for those students whom would like to advance from College Prep Algebra into Honors Geometry have been selected to skip Algebra 1 and advance directly into Geometry in the fall.

Introduction to High School Literature & Composition | 4-Week Introduction Course
Non-Credit. Designed for incoming 9th graders, this course focuses on both reading for understanding and writing with clarity and meaning. Students refresh the basics of grammar, sentence structure and effective writing technique. In addition, they practice deconstructing literary passages to extract the author's direct and implied meaning.
Intro to HS Lit/Comp is for those who want to hone their reading and writing skills to smooth their transition to High School academics and reduce their risk of falling behind.

Introduction to Trigonometry | 2-Week Introduction Course
Non-Credit. This Intro to Trigonometry course will focus on exposing students to the basic fundamentals of trigonometry, which include but are not limited to the unit circle, trigonometric graphs and translations, solving trigonometric equations, proving trigonometric identities as well as applications of trigonometry. This course benefits students that are considering taking Algebra 2H-Trig, Pre-Calculus/Pre-Calculus H and/or Physics courses.

Algebra 1 | 4-Week Recovery & Repair Course
5 Credit Class. Algebra 1 Recovery is designed for those students who need to repair a "D" or "F" grade earned in a previous semester of Algebra 1. The course is sufficiently individualized that either first semester (a) or second semester (b) credit may be earned. Successful students (final grade of "C" or higher) will earn 5 credits (one full semester) toward graduation. It is not possible however, to earn both a and b semester credit simultaneously. Also, it may not be taken for credit in lieu of a standard class nor may it be used for advanced standing (Pre-Credit) . However, rising 8th and 9th graders may take it for enrichment subject to approval by the Summer School Director.

English I, II, & III | 4-Week Recovery Course
5 Credits. English 1 and 2 Rev a/b is designed for those students who must repair a grade of "D" or "F" in an earlier semester. English 1 refers to Frosh English and English 2 refers to Sophomore English. English 3 refers to Junior English. Instruction is sufficiently individualized that a student may repair a grade in either semester of either grade 9 or grade 10 or grade 11.

Pre-Calculus | 5-Week Accelerated Course
This is a rigorous course designed to complete a year-long Pre-Calculus class during our 5-week summer school. Thus the students are taught at an accelerated pace and should expect to have a minimum of 1 hour of homework each night. In order to be successful in this course, students need a strong background in Algebra 2 and a consistent work ethic. Be aware that the course is not an introduction to Pre-Calculus.
