Join All American High School Film Festival Co-Founder and Executive Director, Tom Oliva and Providence High School Cinema Arts faculty, in a week-long intensive and interactive summer film camp designed to boost your creativity, enhance your technical skills, and elevate your media literacy.

Our immersive camp is tailored for aspiring high school storytellers, offering a thorough introduction to all aspects of film production. Led by experienced instructors, you'll learn filmmaking through direct experience and consistent, meaningful practice.

Our Film Camp believes the best classroom is a film set, and our camp provides an unparalleled opportunity to collaborate, improve your craft, and showcase your creativity. No prior experience is required.

Meet the Instructors


Learn from two powerhouse creatives shaping the future of student filmmaking. Together, Tom Olivia and Russell Arch offer unmatched insight, hands-on training, and real-world experience to help high school filmmakers grow their skills and tell powerful stories.

Russell Arch
Russell Arch

With 25+ years in the entertainment industry, Russell is a versatile producer, writer, director, editor, and After Effects artist. His animated work has aired on HBO, FOX, MTV, and VH-1.

Russell’s expertise spans from concept development to final delivery. He’s known for his adaptability and passion for learning new tools and techniques.

As Showrunner and Executive Producer of "The Carbonaro Effect" on TruTV, Russell led five seasons and delivered over 100 episodes, plus companion series "Inside Carbonaro" and "Double Takes."

At his core, Russell is a writer—crafting compelling stories across comedy, drama, animation, and unscripted formats.

Tom Olivia

Tom Oliva is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the All American High School Film Festival, the world’s largest student film festival. With over 25 years of experience mentoring young creatives, Tom has built a global community of emerging content creators.

He leads the AAHSFF Roadshow, produces curriculum for the Video Production Resource Community, and hosts the podcast The Future of Film. Tom partners with top brands, colleges, and universities to create unique opportunities for student filmmakers.

His production credits include work for AT&T, IMAX, Sony, Warner Music Group, Atlantic Records, Blackmagic Design, Jostens, Refinery29, Storyblocks, and the Ad Council.

The All-American High School Film Festival (AAHSFF) is the world’s largest student film festival, held annually in New York City. It celebrates and empowers high school filmmakers through screenings at AMC Times Square, industry-led workshops, scholarships, and networking opportunities.

AAHSFF offers year-round programs including the Film Invitational, Roadshow, Future of Film Podcast, and a complete video production curriculum for educators. These initiatives connect young creators with peers and professionals, inspiring collaboration, creativity, and career development.
